All I can say is that this training has completely changed my life. I decided to do the training for myself, without any real intension to teach and if I am honest, I never believed that I would be able to hold space for others by teaching a class. Not only have I left the course having fallen in love with teaching, it’s given me a whole new perspective of the world around me and also of myself. I found the training extremely potent, for me it felt like 10 years’ worth of therapy in 5 months. I had to walk through hell at points but I came out the other side so grateful for the life transforming journey.

Reviews and Feedback

It’s opened me up to so many new opportunities in life, mostly because I can now hold myself. I’ll be forever grateful of the generosity of Carolyn. I loved that the training was online as within the group there were people from all over the world, we were to connect deeply in small groups but in the safety of our own homes. I feel this allowed us to form even stronger connections as a group. We have built a beautiful community of KG teachers.

Do something amazing! We certainly did. I know that the training was going to be something special as i had already attended a few courses with you but this was beyond anything i could have imagined it would be.

The training has been a room full of gifts. Huge generous life changing gifts. Each module, more and more gifts layered on gifts.

The vows we made and shared brought tears. The conscious awareness of the divine within and without, our magical mats, our sacred space, and of course our huge wings now grace every practice.

The last 5 months has been a exploration of reflection beyond anything i could have imagined. Sitting with and learning to love the most difficult parts of me. Recognising the contracts and contractions, going deeply into our nervous system and finding that when you embrace the darkness you can transform it with love, gentleness and kindness into gold.

Your enormous generosity in birthing this and guiding us so skilfully and compassionately through our transformation into teachers was felt by all. I will be forever grateful, extremely proud and extraordinarily blessed to be a part of this x

The Kundalini Global Teacher Training held by founder, Carolyn Cowan is totally transformational. The tools that I have gained on this course are invaluable.
An incredible and endless source of knowledge is shared here. Do one thing, let Carolyn gift you with her phenomenal expertise and go spread the gold.
Kundalini Global Teacher Training is the Holy Grail of our times. Awaken your Divine Feminine, this is just the beginning.

“Kundalini Global is the most incredible teacher training you will ever do.  It really is.  Not only will you train to become an excellent yoga teacher but will be taken on a radically transformative path of self-discovery to places you never thought possible.  Guided and supported by the brilliant and inspirational Carolyn Cowan, you will be gifted knowledge, tools and techniques from her treasure-trove of wisdom to become the very best version of yourself – as a teacher and as a person.  It truly is the best thing I have ever done.  Everyone should do this course – it’s life-changing!

i have done a lot of trainings in my time but this one genuinely was like no other. yes the manual was OFF TEH CHARTS AMAZING. and the opportunity to teach literally from day one was frankly life changeing. the way you hold the space, i don’t need to tell you is just unparalleled.  but really want sets it apart from anything else currently or probably ever out there is the authenticity.

I have just completed Carolyn Cowan’s Kundalini Global Teacher Training and want everyone interested to not think too much about signing up and experiencing this course, whether you want to teach or not.  If your intuition has guided you this far, to read feedback and reviews about the classes, to consider the commitment, I implore you. Make the jump and change your life. It is the greatest gift I have ever given myself.

I wanted to do the first course in Feb 2020, but the universe had other ideas, and so in June 2020 I signed up for the Feb 2021 training. Then I almost cancelled as I wasn’t sure I wanted to do it online, (it’s actually better online), and again, the universe decided that I should stick to my commitment! I knew this course would teach me to teach kundalini global yoga (posture and breath) and I understood from previous students that it was pretty transformative, but I cannot begin to explain just how extraordinary this is. Carolyn brings every thing to the fore, she takes us down and up cults of thought, processes, ideas, into deep meditations and considerations, she curates her guest lecturers perfectly and allows sufficient opportunity for group work. And we learn, within the modules and in between, we learn to be teachers, to honour our personal practices, to breathe and to set intentions. We learn 24/7.
I’ve certainly visibly and energetically transformed the past four months and I’m looking forward to our final module and certifying”.

Are you ready for a transformation? Are you sure?
Carolyn Cowan invites you on a magical mystery tour through the yoga teacher training she created as Kundalini.Global. “1 ticket please!” I boldly claimed with all the joyous enthusiasm that sparks within me when somewhere inside I know it’s going to be an amazing adventure. And so here I am, on the roller coaster ride to becoming a Kundalini.Global Yoga Teacher – and its one of the best adventures of my life. Maybe you don’t feel ‘ready’, but perhaps if you listen closely you’ll hear your soul whisper – yes please!

Kundalini Global Love – Before this training, I had no clue what the Divine Feminine meant, so this work has been a wonderful springboard for researching and learning.

“I can’t imagine wanting to be on screen with anyone else for a weekend at a time, but you really do transport us. Every day is a rich and epic journey! I relish your teachings, and feel incredibly grateful and blessed to be here with you. The wisdom you emanate, your breadth of knowledge, and the space you have given us to open into ourselves – to grow as individuals and as a group – is awe-inspiring. Thank you for bringing yourself so wholly to birthing this course and for saying yes to ‘being responsible for a group of maniacs’. My gratitude abounds.”

“I can imagine that it is difficult for you to judge the level of supreme magic, transformation and awareness you create – from our 30 minuscule faces scattered on your screen – for a full day, or in person for that matter, but with you and with our group, I feel carried away to a different place. I am there and fully there.”

“I love the diversity of our group and the fact that we are all on the path to some form of transcendence. For me, I love fusion and integration in yoga, and in all manner of other things. There is more than one world out there and many different dimensions to the universe. I love that we can have deep appreciation for aspects of other worlds, and then adapt and tailor these learnings to align with our individual soul purpose. That is the beauty of living and the art of true self-discovery. Not to be defined by conditioning or too much labelling. I learn something from each of you every time we meet. Carolyn, you are so unique in your teaching and draw from such a vast array of wisdom and experience. Thank you for generously imparting this knowledge to us in a way which gives us a choice and the freedom to be who we are.”

“Super hero Carolyn Cowan! I can’t imagine myself having a TT with any other group and muse like yourself. This is absolute truth that it is beyond knowledge and experience what you are doing and holding, and the wisdom you are emanating.”

“Your teaching and ability to hold the space is an inspiration. Love and gratitude for all you are doing.”

“I’m loving every minute of it. Some of the meditations take me to a deep space. I’m really enjoying it all and there is so much to reflect on. I cannot being to verbalise how glad I am that I signed up for this to enjoy your teaching, learn so much and meet all these beautiful people. So much gratitude and love.”

“It’s beyond amazing how you are teaching us and holding this space. Thank you!”

“That you manage to soldier on and lead so beautifully, no matter how some of us may be flagging or wavering, takes my respect and gratitude to (and for) you to new levels.”

“It was, again, such an amazing day, so thank you. You are, as always, mind-blowing and mind opening and taking us on this journey with so much generosity and care and love. I just wanted to share how blessed and how grateful I feel.”

“Thank you for tapping in to my somewhat introverted escape route tendencies. Hauling out the rope ladder or something like that. “

“Before coming to Carolyn’s course I tried to learn KY with KRI. Haha, they kicked me off because I am too naughty and not following any rules and not having any authorities. I was also kicked off educational program on psychology in Moscow. And 2 times out of university. My mom every day is asking me when Carolyn will kick me off because of my bad behavior. Well, maybe one day it happens 🤣. But for now it’s the only educational program where I feel free to express myself and be myself, without judgment and punishment. Thank you, Carolyn. This is what I learn from you and this is what I am following in you until I have my own experience encouraging people to be so free. Actually this is yoga for me: to find freedom.”

“Thank you for today. I love learning from you and the amazing group.”

“I’m now officially the new Associate Rector as St James’s Piccadilly! At one point, the Bishop of London said “and God will equip you with the skills you need for ministry in this strange new time” and I thought “yes, and Carolyn Cowan gave me a head start by showing me how to do a yoga training on Zoom!”

“Thank thy Carolyn for your teaching and exceptional grace, for facilitating the extraordinary gift.”

“So profoundly beautiful and potent.”

“Incredibly awakening. Thank you.”

“Forever grateful to be here with you.”

“Wings activated.”

“Life-transforming.”

“What an amazing journey, to connect with you all. Such diverse experiences and yet we all hold so much in common.”

“The people on this training are fucking amazing.”

“Beautiful resources and inspiration.”

“I think we all had a quantum leap! We are all teaching.”

“These days have been utterly amazing.”

“Magic…As if you set a scene for a story and move us through, scene by scene and character by character. I come out a different person.

“You are the queen of teaching how to self-regulate.”

“that was some awesome sharing. I wonder if – weirdly – we shared more profoundly because it was on Zoom, and whether we would have opened up it the same way if we’d been sitting in a circle? It was an immense privilege to hear you all and hope everyone who shared feels better for it.”

“Groundedness is absolutely paramount and this is one of the reasons why I find Carolyn’s embodied form of teaching Kundalini so important.”

“I can’t say I was surprised when working with you online worked as well as in person – expert at holding space that you are – but I was surprised by the new ways it made the experience so excellent.”

“What a group of beautiful people. It’s been an experience that goes beyond words. So excited. So grateful. So ready for the journey to continue. Carolyn has created something radical, something unique, something that I truly believe is going to change things for people far beyond this group.”

“Can you do a yoga teacher training online? Very successfully. Particularly since Carolyn Cowan can powerfully hold a space that encompasses the globe. The Kundalini Global teacher training is groundbreaking and empowering. At a time when we need each other and practices like yoga most, I’m deeply grateful our group has been able to come together virtually to be given the tools to hold ourselves, and serve our communities.”

“My first weekend of teaching has been such a blessing! On Friday evening I took my dear friend through the 40 Days To Change series. We set the space with all the candles we could lay our hands on and the intention of positive transformation. My initial nerves soon subsided and I relaxed into the flow of presenting the breath, posture and playing music to carry his experience. It wasn’t even nearly perfect but I loved every moment!
This morning I took a friend through the Will and The Flow at her home with the sun pouring in through the french windows, breezy and birds singing. The response from both was profoundly positive and is just deepening my love for this technology. It is such an honour to be in service this way and I’m in deep gratitude to be setting sail on this journey. My heart is overflowing! Love to you all xx”

“It struck me what a privilege it is to be on this journey with you all, as we find our own voices as teachers. Properly cool.”

“What an AMAZING long weekend with the beautiful Kundalini Global people! I can’t really put it into words. The card that I have been picking for 2 days now is about transformation! And yes indeed, it’s been transformational. To the point that now we have wings to fly. I can’t really express my gratitude for being around these people!”

“Feeling so grateful! It was a a fully transformational four-day kundalini yoga teacher training with the most punky yoga teacher and the greatest people ever.”

“The shift between ‘happening’ and ‘happened’ is a shift of survival and freedom, and this gift I am taking from this course, from my participation in our common process, from you, Carolyn and from you all.”

“Grateful for everything here in this group and community! You are all lifting us up!
Thank you Carolyn.”

“I think we’re all becoming Zoom masters!”

“Just taught my 7th class in 7 days. 7 series. 10 different clients. Average class size 4
Every new client has come back
Clients include: 1 nhs epidemiologist, 1 nhs doctor, 2 fathers home schooling, 5 mothers,1 person living alone who is volunteering to support vulnerable neighbours in the community, 1 person shielding due to cancer treatment, 2 people who have never done yoga before, 2 people invited by others who had joined the class. For 9 out of 10, this is their first experience of kundalini yoga. Everyone in their own unique situation with individual challenges. So honoured to share this sacred practice with them. So grateful to Carolyn for vesting us to share this and spread the kundalini energy and providing such great learning resources. So grateful to all in this group for the ultimate support system”

“I just did my 3rd day in a row teaching friends.Today I taught 2 NHS doctors, one of whom is now quarantined as her doctor husband has been treating Coronavirus patients and has now contracted it himself. It’s getting easier each day to teach. Two friends have been there all 3 days day and we are all improving together which is lovely. They haven’t done kundalini before and they are loving how different it is. Thank you to Carolyn for the amazing teaching and for the beautiful course materials. I love looking at them every evening for inspiration for the next class. And thanks to all the group here for inspiration every day and sharing your experiences. I love teaching already.

“So grateful for this training, this community and all the regulating we’re learning and doing for ourselves, each other and everyone we know.”

“After pushing all the furniture around in my tiny house, i managed to get a yoga studio and just did my first session. They were all amazed by the idea of kundalini rising and want sessions in the morning everyday with me. I had lots of people I didn’t know that joined and tomorrow people from Bali, Dubai, Istanbul, and Paris are joining alongside Londoners. It really has become Kundalini Global.”

“Just gave a zoom class to some of my besties- I quote one of them at the end ‘Oh my gosh I’m buzzin my tits off!’ Desired effect achieved.”

“I’m now a zealous Zoom evangelist.”

“Feeling very empowered by the sacred teachings and homely space we’ve created. The solidarity is hugely important and you are all so uniquely special and worthy.”

“You bring hard hitting facts on subjects that need to be talked about with great openness and sense of humour.”

“I had to overcome my fear of Zoom and I got through that block. In fact, being in this format, seeing everybody in their environments, seeing their kids, we get to know everybody better.”

“It’s exciting to meet such strong, cool people.”

“What an extraordinary group of people. I learn son much from you all every time we are together. I don’t know where I’d be without this.”

“I thought I was a signing up for a yoga teacher training, but this is jumping into huge personal growth and learning.”

“When I see everyone’s faces on the screen, it’s like I’m seeing an old friend.”

“I am blown away by how special and unique everyone is, with their own talents. It speaks to the people that Carolyn attracts.”

“Carolyn, you are so interesting. You move in unpredictable ways.”

It’s been wonderful to have the permission to experience the ups and downs in this space. This group is on my gratitude list.”

“This is not only making me a better teacher, it is making me a better human being.”

“I’ve been looking for practices for integrity. You’ve given me that.”

“Thank you for the reminder of how I can hold myself.”“You are a space holding ninja.”

“This training has helped me fall back in love with posture.”

“This is why I train with Carolyn. The breadth of experience you bring can’t be found in any yoga book.”

“I’m so grateful for this safe, sacred space to share authentically and grow.”

“I love the breakout rooms in Zoom. I got so much out of that. It’s a really rich experience.”

“The rich tapestry of different teaching styles in the group is great.”

“The homework between the sessions was profound.”

Kundalini Global Teacher Training has allowed me a unique starting point on a journey into the powerful female spirit. Back to myself. It only took a day for me to feel a sense to total freedom in the realisation that the ‘Devine teacher within’ need not be the headmistress of a Catholic Boarding School. She need not be chained to the dogma, the fear, the need for acceptance. And she definitely doesn’t need to wear a pair of pink leggings. She need not be anything but me. Just as I am. With a little added BOOM.

Carolyn has created something that yoga NEEDS right now. Allowing a safe space for future teachers to look at the practise through perspectives that facilitate a huge amount of reflection, healing, and growth as they consider who it is they stand for when they take their first steps to the front of a class.

You can expect to meet a diverse group of people who each bring something unique to what feels like a circle of complete trust. You will feel heard. You will feel challenged. You will hear music that makes you cry and music that makes your soul dance. An invitation will be made for you to take a bold move in to what I would have called ‘the unknown’ but truly feels like ‘what I always knew but couldn’t find’.

What a phenomenal weekend. I’m absolutely blown away by how much you covered, how much we all learned, bonded, experienced and how much growth everyone seemed to experience in such a short space of time. The pace was absolutely spot on and I loved the blend of topics, experiences, space to reflect, and to experience ourselves. I have lots more to say and I’m still taking it all in so I will send a proper response this week with feedback which you can use for next intake.
Sadly I’ve got stuck in traffic on the way to class tonight so I’m off to practice at home for our first Zoom session we are doing on Friday.
I am so grateful to you for everything you share and how much you give of yourself, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much better my life feels and is since coming to your classes.

I arrived at the training hoping to deepen my personal practice and be more self-sufficient, rather than needing a teacher to facilitate the Kundalini experience. I did not think I wanted to be a teacher.
The first module surpassed expectations in a way that must be experienced to be believed. It was an extraordinary process of massive personal growth and liberation from outdated, unhelpful cults of thought. Carolyn created a safe space immediately, as she always does, so the group bonded quickly, and we felt powerfully supported throughout the deep spiritual, intellectual and emotional work. I think we all left fundamentally altered, or rather, more our true selves.
We received a solid education in the history and technology of Kundalini yoga, and how to work with the human body.
I left module 1 not only feeling that I could be a great teacher, but also clearer about how to get out of my own way and thrive in other areas of my life.

Prayer, meditation, posture and pause is the weave that creates this unique training and allows the exploration of the addictive personality to begin to unfold. Encouraged to travel to our own edges and expand into our breadth; yet we were held together as group by our soul connections and collective suffering to witness the shit but the intention to move forward to a new vista and the freedom we deserve. Beautifully orchestrated by Carolyn.
The collaboration of Carolyn’s personal experience strength and hope and her generous sharing of her infinite knowledge of the being and beyond, the body and the mind and the light and shadow gave permission for us to untangle from our stories and histories with fearless fascination.
Explore the universe within. I did and grew wings and flew.
Go quietly, go loudly but go
Recovery gold x

That you continue to be the Zeitgeist that i have always known you to be…turning techniques inside out & developing something better and more in line with the times….challenging the systems, organisations & status quo to move us forwards into more conscious times where we can manage ourselves effectively & bridge the inequalities of this world.

Carolyn’s teachings are a unique experience not easily forgotten. She draws courageously on the hinterland of her own life experience, -pain, victories, warts and all, and brings these forward into an ever deepening enquiry about the nature of live and of being fully alive for all those she has taken into her care, clients, supervisees, students and all. Carolyn, like all teachers of live draws on her own being much more than on conventional teaching methods and working with her is  therefore not for the faint hearted.

Whilst on the kundalini for anxiety workshop several years ago, I experienced something lifechanging after and during a Kyria. You told us we were shifting energy and as we came into group stillness, a warm wave started to rise through me. At first I wondered if this was what a hot flush was. Then I had a feeling of intense euphoria followed by feeling overwhelmed. I opened my eyes and asked for clarity on what may be happening. You calmly said that we were moving energy and was I ok ?.( I was ) someone offered and gave me a foot massage for grounding . Then it went away but later that evening I lay on my sofa and could feel little shots of energy darting upwards and the same increased sense of well-being.

The end result was that I had come to the workshop after many years of the occasional panic attack. I still get anxious but have never had a panic attack since..Hypnotherapy , homeopathy , my yoga practice hadn’t managed to cure them but your class did. I believe this is because on some level I was feeling incredibly safe and ready to release. It is a great skill for a teacher to be able to offer that feeling to A student . Students that come on your training can know that they are held by you and you will manage and hold space for all outcomes.

In wholehearted respect to a special mentor; On entering Carolyn’s studio you are immediately welcomed and acknowledged. You are aware that many people are regulars however if it’s your first venture into her class you feel safe and included. Carolyn’s classes are well planned and explained with a clear and thoughtful intention for the session. She leads her classes in a challenging yet supportive way with bags of humour thrown in. Just as you think you are about to lose the challenge she dares you to stick at it! There is no pressure though – if you can’t do it there is no sense of failure attributed. Carolyn is a wise, caring and inspirational teacher – you leave her classes uplifted for the day and somehow changed. Also her music is fabulous I would go just to listen to that!

Carolyn is a tour de force of creativity and wisdom and this talent is uncommon and very necessary when teaching yoga. It is rare to have the courage and ability to inspire, inform and lift their students in the way she does. She uses all of her life experience to make her work inspirational and , like the best teachers, one has a sense that she would or could not coast and compromise. She is brave and informative; inspiring and knowledgeable… she is kind and funny. She is rare and loved by her students

Carolyn Cowan is Very inspiring and unique teacher . Offers a gentle yet challenging classes using techniques of kundalini yoga while adding comments and insights of knowledge that allows to understand underlying anatomical and neurological purposes of the poses.that helps me to reach and search deeper within. All that mixed with beautiful adequate music creates a wonderful experience during her class. Highly recommending!

Very inspiring , clear and powerful teacher, you know that she will get you there and you are not alone anymore.

Through the insistence of my awesome partner, I participated in a workshop on Paros with Carolyn Cowan. Simply life changing for us both. Carolyn has a powerful yet gentle presence and a completely and utterly inspiring teaching style. Every morning since, my partner and I are still practicing Carolyn’s unique and powerful Kriyas. Thank you, Carolyn… endlessly.

I can quite honestly say that Carolyn Cowan’s teachings are extraordinary life changing and I highly recommend this once in a lifetime inspirational teacher. Total love and respect

I attended one of Carolyn Cowans weekend workshops and I loved it! I love her style of teaching which is a direct, no nonsense approach and gets to the heart of it all, the core and I like that. For those who really want to dive into a class and expand their knowledge/experience then this is the teacher for you. I love her transparency, how open and honest she is and how she shares so much of her wealth of knowledge. I learnt so much from her classes. Full of gratitude. Thank you,

Carolyn Cowan kundalini in Camden is physically and spiritually elevating and other worldly. An absolute highlight of my week and leaves me feeling high with an energy shift that gives me a greater understanding of life. Love her classes and the space in that room with the music and gong.

It was an incredible experience on many levels. You are obviously gifted and skilled at holding space for deep learning and deep personal work, while maintaining boundaries, schedules, staying on topic, etc. You provided a perfect combination of and framework for personal reflection, group sharing, dyad work, instructional  and experiential learning. I appreciated all of that. Some of the breath work was really deep, and I always felt completely safe in that space -physically and otherwise. The workshop space itself was perfect. It felt warm and nurturing (I love the deep blue walls), but it was even more than the workshop room, it was the entire experience that made a huge impression on me – the welcoming into your home, the way the food was prepared and shared,  etc. It felt integrated. I am sure I could have gotten the same quality of information had the workshop been held at Triyoga, but the experience would have been less personal, less lived. I appreciated that as well. I think it contributed to the beautiful way we all connected as a group.

I have been extremely unhappy with my sex life for a very long time. The idea of discussing sex openly in a group was terrifying, but I’d worked with Carolyn before, and had experienced her ingenious ability to put a group at ease quickly. I’m so grateful I took the leap. Carolyn turned what could have been an intensely uncomfortable experience into an easy and fun exploration. I’ve gone from hopeless to excited about the possibilities, and open to trying new approaches in ways I did not expect. My only regrets are that I didn’t do this work decades ago, and that I didn’t bring my husband along to the group.

“Wow! What an extremely fascinating, thought provoking, knowledgable, intriguing course. I started the course full of anxiety after having a particularly traumatic pregnancy and birth, and not even certain if I could go through it again. I have walked away feeling like I want to be pregnant again right now!
Carolyn is the most wonderful woman. Her background as a therapist and dealing with trauma is so valuable in the course. It was important to see all sides of pregnancy and birth and to delve into the elements that are raw as well as rosey and Carolyn and her fellow teachers taught the modules in the most thorough and stimulating way making me want to do redo the whole course again next year. If only…..’

It was fascinating to learn how something as simple as playing with the breath can profoundly affect your state, and to experience the range of sensations under Carolyn’s guidance, from very subtle to intense. It adds another string to your bow if you want to explore ways to deepen and expand your practice, or if you simply want to have more control over how you feel.

Carolyn’s classes and workshops took me out of a dark place and able to see the light once again. Her knowledge as a therapist helps her teach in a way like no other. Her strength, discipline, yet light heartedness and fun makes her classes unique. She is amazing.xx

thank you again so much, for opening your course and offering this present. I felt joy and much peace by your presence and your communication in real time. It was a pleasure to learn from you and have a bit of your touch.

I appreciated very much how an exercise repeated during all sessions, like the stretch of the vagus nerve, can be a great technique to let little important routines printed in the students.
This exercise found it very powerful as well as so natural! like one would just do it so, when waking up.

Teaching with a broad spectrum of pupils and in this relative limited interaction, found very good how you spaced the exercises and gave the time to recover. This continuous permission for recovery found it as perfect key for the topic too.

Your voice singularity and the way you changed from explaining something, to suggesting something was really good to get focus and receive.

I appreciated the introduction and the view of the topics before starting with the physical, already relating with the organs and the body. I found each single class powerful by itself and very invigorating.

It didnt came any idea of anything that could be added or changed. I want but to repeat the classes again and have a second experience.

I definitely gained a lot of new insights of how many addictions are around. I also became much more conscious about addictive behaviors. Not really knowing what to expect I was more than satisfied and feel blessed about the training. I came out as a much more aware person on this subject. The training covered all the aspects. Maybe the time was not long enough to go into deepness of each subject. But the exam will do this. I felt very safe, supported, heard and seen. Since all was so interesting and well presented, there was not much to say but to absorb and learn! The group was extremely supportive, respectful and like-minded and the energy grew so strong – very enjoyable. Studio 5 at Triyoga was a great place to be.
I’m still working on the paperwork and I find so many aspects of what we have heard and talked about and it’s a precious support to working with.

I didn’t know what to expect from the training, but the experience was profoundly transformative. I gained a wealth of knowledge as well as confronting hidden aspects of myself.   I now feel inspired to share these powerful tools for self-transformation. Carolyn is a real force of nature – authentic, engaging and inspiring in her teaching style.

All in all a fantastic experience that I am recommending to all I talk to about it (in fact I met someone the other day who is coming on your next session and was raving about it to her).  Many, many thanks to you for your commitment and energy in running it so powerfully and beautifully

I found your workshop to be wonderful.  I came into it with a touch of trepidation, but also with a sense that you wouldn’t have recommended something harmful to me. The experience was challenging and uncomfortable, fascinating and revealing, fun and light and many other things, but what stuck with me most was the power of the two group exercises, “I’m pretending” and “I’m ashamed of…”, the bravery of every one to talk, share and be seen was very impressive and the bonding effect of these exercises were amazing. For a subject that’s very difficult to face and I found to be very unnerving, the space you provided was incredibly safe, which almost offset the horrors of shame by itself. It felt like trying to take on a raging bull on a bouncy castle, it made the topic feel softer, lighter and fun.

Everything was more than I’d hoped for. I pictured a function room in a local hotel or community centre and got a lovely house full of character and treasures with a beautiful garden that made me feel closer to Devon than London. I imagined a buffet set up with some tasty finger food, but got all this delightful, vegan wizardry (I assumed all if not most was vegan kinda grub) that I’d never seen before and an array of teas that I’d not heard of….with buckets of honey!

I gained a good base of knowledge of Shame, what it is, why it is and what to do with it. Just as importantly I learnt that I’m not alone in my troubles with feeling swamped in shame and maybe more importantly I learnt that things can change. It won’t necessarily always feel this way, I have more say in the matter than I’d realised.

Unique, dynamic, rich, cool, fun, soft, kind, friendly, understanding, challenging, unpredictable and lovey. Love it

Carolyn workshops are always very uplifting and inspiring for me, she has a courage to be her unique self which give her students power to connect with their true self either. Her teaching will empower you to face challenges of life as well within yourself.

Carolyn gives you permission to be perfectly imperfect… so often with Kundalini there’s dogma and she’s the antithesis of this. Her knowledge of anatomy and biochemistry in the body is mind blowing and her explanations of what is happening where (in aforementioned areas) is hugely helpful when doing the Kriyas and poses (and makes you want to do them!). As a woman in recovery, it’s been great to soak in Carolyn’s huge knowledge of addiction and emotions / the body… and I hope to do this training at some point.

On entering Carolyn’s studio you are immediately welcomed and acknowledged. You are aware that many people are regulars however if it’s your first venture into her class you feel safe and included. Carolyn’s classes are well planned and explained with a clear and thoughtful intention for the session. She leads her classes in a challenging yet supportive way with bags of humour thrown in. Carolyn Cowan is ‘today’s teacher’ for the times we live in now and whose wisdom and history serves us with the best tools to manage and find joy

Carolyn’s classes allow one to surrender to the self through posture and pranayama chants and meditations. Carolyn helps one move away from pains of the past, and grow courage from fear of the future, allowing time on the mat to be the space to ‘go in’ and experience one’s exquisite divinity and wholeness. Carolyn’s yoga classes are your gift to yourself, a spiritual communion, 75 minutes of divine bliss, in a world of technology and consumerism politics and madness

I often travel well out of my way to attend class with Carolyn, and at least one class a week is a feature of my diary, as I can be sure of a potent and poignant experience every time.
No matter what I’m grappling with, or how heavy life feels at the moment, I always leave Carolyn’s class calmer, lighter, more grounded, and often having had some kind of personal breakthrough.
This is because Carolyn teaches with great practicality. Each posture, breath, meditation is taught with an explanation of how it can be used in our lives outside the class.
Having been through a particularly challenging time personally, I have been hugely grateful for the ways Carolyn has taught me to manage how I feel. I will sit on hospital floors using the postures I know will carry me through whatever procedure I am about to face. Carolyn teaches with a beautiful humour – we’re always laughing in class – a great reminder not to take it all – including ourselves – too seriously. Carolyn’s breadth of experience is evident as she speaks, but it’s also obvious that she continues to explore and expand in her personal practice, and that is hugely inspiring. This also makes Carolyn a uniquely compassionate teacher. It’s a joy to be given the permission and invitation to play, and to experience the bliss of the fruits of our labour.
And unexpected gift of being a Carolyn Cowan regular is the community of lovely people who become friends.

“Expect the Unexpected” is most true with Carolyn Cowan. She surprised me at every turn and yet practicing with her was one of the most profound and rewarding encounters with Kundalini Yoga for the 13 years that I have been a student and, later, a teacher. I still hear her voice and follow her guidance, though years have passed since this two-day workshop on addictions. Each time a student asks me whom to follow online, I say “Carolyn!”. Unconventional, passionate, powerful, divine and so needed especially NOW. Thank you! Please keep going. Sat Nam.

Carolyn holds amazing space when teaching a class. Very knowledgeable when teaching with regards to posture, the benefits obtained on a physical and mental level and she teaches in a way in which you can retain the explanation given. Love, love her style. She’s honest, funny, supportive, creative, charming and very charismatic! A wonderful presence to be in.

Carolyn is a kundalini teacher with professional knowledge and yet do not take it too seriously:) so charming and very powerful presence

Carolyn’s teachings are practical and make practice accessible to all of her students. She teaches from a place of wisdom through her own life experiences and the perspectives gained supporting others in their life experiences. Carolyn holds space and has the courage to go where others fear to tread. My experiences as a student of Carolyn’s teachings have been transformative and I’ve made life long friends in the space and the processes she’s facilitated.
